Ustica Falconiera Point Dive
Low Difficulty – Depth 0/30 meters
Ustica Falconiera Point Dive, due to its simplicity, it is one of the favorite night destinations.
Anchoring in the dead man bay, not far from the port, leads to one of the most beautiful walls of Ustica. Very interesting site also for night dives, the wall is much appreciated for its biodiversity and a constant destination in all Marine Biology courses.
The Falconiera dive starts from one of the mooring buoys positioned inside the bay, on a rock fall full of ravines and shy fish like the specimens of serpentine stars.
Reaching the depth of 25 meters, you come to the Falconara cave. From the sandy bottom rise the walls of the cave, which offer a wonderful show by changing chromatically, thanks to some plant species and a myriad of animal species such as madreporaria, bryozoans and colonies of sea daisy. The Falconiera dive is located in zone C of the Ustica Island Protected Marine Area.
The cave develops in a straight tunnel about 28 meters long which ends in a chamber with a rocky bottom articulated in narrow cracks, often frequented by a large brown grouper.
