Ustica Aquario Santoro Cove is located on the western side of the island, within the Ustica Island Protected Marine Area, the first in Italy, and with Cala Sidoti is among the only bathing areas allowed within the Zone A of integral reserve. It is a small cove that is not very deep with a small black sand beach divided by a concrete platform. The cove is ideal for families with children for the characteristics described, and offers a crystalline sea full of fish that you can see with a simple mask while snorkeling. A disused building was the site of the former Aquarium, awaiting restoration. It dominates the Bourbon tower of the Spalmatore from the top of the hill. At the entrance of the path that leads to the beach there is a characteristic kiosk where you can refresh yourself with a drink or an ice cream. It can be reached easily by bus from the town of Ustica, going in the direction of Spalmatore Point. The cove is one of the most popular on the island.
